The project provided for the fabrication and delivery of a new modular steel 4-piece enclosure system to cover the aft section of U.S. Navy submarines at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. The 31’ Wide x 62’ Long x 50’ Tall modular enclosure system is used during maintenance availabilities for the propulsor assembly of Virginia-Class nuclear submarines. The work included new components including an aft tower, starboard propulsor enclosure, port propulsor enclosure, and propulsor roof enclosure. The project also included modification of an existing stairway within a dry dock.
