Methuen Construction is making improvements and modifications to the lagoon system at the 0.588 (average daily) million-gallon-per-day Marion Wastewater Treatment Plant. Work consists of removal and disposal of Sludge from Lagoon No. 1, addition of a liner system to Lagoon No. 1, and modifications to the lagoon distribution and return systems; improvements and modifications to the disk filter systems including replacement and addition of disk filter equipment, demolition of portions of existing equipment, the replacement and addition of pumps; improvements and modifications to the ultraviolet disinfection system include reconditioning of the existing equipment, the existing channels, and furnishing of module handling equipment and additional ultraviolet disinfection modules and associated equipment. Additional improvements and modifications include addition of a float switch to an existing meter vault; replacement of the Filter Building membrane roof; and improvements to the Filter Building and UV Building HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
