Everett Non-Ferrous Facility - Everett, MA
This Design/Build project at the Schnitzer Northeast Metal Processing facility in Everett, MA. involved the design preparation, procurement of all subcontractors and materials, and performance of all work in accordance with project plans and specifications.
The non-ferrous facility consists of a new building and equipment for separating non-ferrous material from scrap steel in the recycling process. The facility is designed to utilize heat from mechanical equipment to maintain temperature during the winter months. Additionally, approximately 80% of the steel used for structural components was from recycled materials.
