This project accomplished the phased renovation and reconstruction of two historic industrial shop buildings, to facilitate the enhancement of work processes and consolidation of personnel into new efficient facilities.

PNSY P266 - Kittery, ME

The project included, but was not limited to: secure (CIA) security boundary and access construction, a complete renovation of two Historic Buildings, complete demolition of two buildings, and partial demolition of a another building. The project consisted of industrial shop space, personnel support areas (offices, conference/training rooms, break rooms, locker rooms), storage, industrial equipment (relocation of existing equipment and procurement, delivery and installation of equipment and site utilities. Renovations included the following: electrical (e.g. power, grounding, etc), mechanical (e.g. ventilation, dust collection, etc.), plumbing (e.g. compressed air, gasses, water, etc.), and fire protection/life safety (e.g. fire separation, sprinklers, and storage and venting of hazardous materials, etc.). Exterior window, masonry, and roof repairs and were completed in accordance with the Secretary of Interior's Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties. New special foundations were provided for relocated industrial shop equipment. Industrial ventilation was upgraded to satisfy process requirements and maximize heat recovery. HVAC was upgraded to meet current standards. Elevators were provided in two Buildings. The existing critical Local Access Network (LAN) facility remained undisturbed and operational during demolition and construction activities.  The controlled industrial area fence line and turnstiles were constructed and tied into the existing CIA fence.
