Leading with Safety - Teammate Identifies a Potential Unsafe Condition

Tanner Woods was tasked with cutting a penetration in the metal roof deck to install an air handling unit. While making the cut through the metal decking, Tanner noticed that the section of decking he was going to cut was unsupported and not over the structural steel that was underneath the decking. Tanner stopped work, had Garlock handrail erected around the area to eliminate the potential fall hazard, and notified his direct supervisor. By identifying that the layout was incorrect, Tanner was able to eliminate an unsafe condition and potentially prevented an incident. We thank Tanner for stopping work and leading by example!
