Leading with Safety - Stopped Work to Protect

Teammates Bobby Orsini (left) and Evan Wilson (right) were recently recognized for stopping an excavation activity when they encountered soil they suspected to be contaminated. While excavating they encountered discolored soil. Rather than continuing, they stopped the work and reported it to their supervisor. By properly reporting the potential hazard, Methuen was able to have the soil tested to ensure no one working in the area was exposed. We thank both Bobby and Evan for stopping work to protect themselves and others working on the project.
